TEAM
Jack Hilkewich
President
Jack Hilkewich has been in the Film and TV business since 1984. He got his start working on feature films for Roger Corman in Toronto, Ontario. After a couple of films he went to the University of Regina’s film program and graduated in 1991.
After film school, Jack took a job with Cable Regina where he created the local hit TV show called the “James and Kevin Show”. After 5 years of production and many awards, including a Golden Sheaf, Jack went freelance and did contract work for numerous production companies in Saskatchewan. He directed numerous TV commercials and series including directing segments for CBC’s program “Street Sense”. One episode that Jack contributed a segment to won an International Emmy Award.
In 2003, Jack graduated from the New Media Campus Animation Program. In 2004, Jack began working for Partners in Motion as an animator working on productions such as the TV show “Disasters of the Century”, "Size TV", "Crime Stories" and "Hilarious History". While there Jack won a Showcase Award for “Post Production Special Effects” on the documentary production “Midnight Massacre: The Donnelly Murders".
Dwayne Melcher
Multimedia Designer/Project Manager
Dwayne Melcher has been working as a professional production designer and project manager since 2003 after he graduated with a diploma in 3D Animation and Design from New Media Campus in Regina,Saskatchewan.
Working for different production companies full time as well as freelance work in Regina since 2003 years has given Dwayne the ability to create high-quality digital media and designs creatively and effectively. Producing marketing tools, designs and strategic presentation for over 150 companies locally and nationally allows for the implementation of creative and eye catching designs. Experience in 3d animation, flash animation, website design, graphic design and other media design allows for the production of a wide variety of mediums to suite any campaign big or small across different needed platforms.
Some of the different clients and customers Dwayne has worked with while working full time for various companies and freelance include: Cyber Informatix, Boston Pizza, Best Western Seven Oaks, Saskatchewan Outdoors, Press Box, Saskatchewan Interactive, Regina Food Bank, Remax Regina, Edwards Mazda, From Scratch Kitchens, Festiv-Ale, Regina Progress Club and Algodyne Energy Corp.
Peng Hwee Guo
Creative Director
Peng Hwee Guo has 17 years of experience in the computer animation industry in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Beijing. Hwee majored in film-making at the University of Regina and is a devoted cineaste to this day, worshipping particularly the works of Carl Dreyer and Ozu Yasujiro. Before university, he worked as a political cartoonist and editorial illustrator.
Hwee has an artist nature and a flair for animation. His projects are truly one of a kind. He is one of the most versatile 3D animators in the Asia Pacific region, an expert user of nearly every major tool of the trade. Hwee has extensive knowledge of computer graphic programs such as Maya, XSI, 3DS Max, Houdini, Renderman, Mental Ray, Shake, Painter and After Effects. He is also an accomplished effects programmer. He has been an animator for the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation, JSP Post and Caldecott Productions International. He has been the technical director for Peninsula Digital Sdn Bhd and Pixelcraft Pte Ltd. Among his major works are the cinema opening for Shaw Brothers (Hong Kong) and the visual effects for Malaysia’s first feature animation “Silat Legenda”. Since 1999, Hwee has taught others about the art of animation at the Bejing institute, the Hong Kong Art School and Temasek Polytechnic in Sinagapore.
Tracy Hahn
Multimedia Designer
Tracy is a professional Multimedia Designer that holds a Multimedia Design & Communications Diploma from the Applied Multimedia Training Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She has been working in the multimedia industry since 1997.
Tracy’s experience with visual presentation, design and digital media creation and implementation stems from an artistic eye and attention to detail. She has extensive knowledge in graphic design, page layout, non-linear editing, website production and content development. Tracy has applied these skills in developing marketing and promotional material for worldwide sales and distribution and internationally broadcast productions.
A few of Tracy’s accomplishments include project management, coordination, research and development of several websites including the Partners in Motion, The Harmony Vault and the Lieutenant Governor’s Centennial Gala websites. She has worked on TV series and documentaries creating graphic support segments in conjunction with video editors. This would include the productions “Disasters of the Century” and “Crime Stories” airing on History Television and 3D animation for 39 episodes of “Beyond Medicine” which aired internationally. Tracy has worked on multimedia and desktop publishing projects for Saskferco, Farm Credit Corporation, CUETS, Ipsco, Ipsco Place, The Shorthorn Report, and CAA
Otto Wong
3D Animator
Otto Wong is a seasoned animator and special effects editor in Hong Kong. He graduated with his diploma in 3D Computer Animation and Modeling from City University of Hong Kong. In 2003, Otto went on to get his fine arts degree and study Mental Ray at the Bejing University in China.
In 2002, he began as an animator with the post-production firm Asia Legend Ltd. There he played an integral role in the movie “The Touch” which starred Michelle Yeoh and was directed by Peter Pau. Otto became a seasoned after effects editor working for Post Production Office Ltd. and Fat Face Production Ltd. on the well known Chinese and Taiwanese TV shows “The Top Four Cops in the Song Dynasty”, “Kung Fu –Ru Lai Shen Zhang”, and “Shang Er Flying to the Moon”. Besides movies, he has worked on commercials for Canon, Panasonic, BMW and HK Jockey Club.
